Sometimes simply referred to as motor homes or motor coaches, Class A RVs can range anywhere from 26 to 45 feet long and can sleep up to ten people. Class As are known for their luxurious, home-style amenities, large storage spaces and open floor plans. Class A motorhomes come with either gas or diesel engines. Your local Maryland RV Dealer can help with which one is right for you. Class A motorhomes are the most massive coaches on the market and they run the gamut as far as extravagance goes. Ranging in size from 26 to 45 feet, they are built on a single chassis that may have more than two axles — heavier coaches will have three axles in total. Motorhomes usually have sleeping spaces for two to eight people. Each sleeping space is either fixed or converted from another part of the motorhome's interior, usually a fold-out sofa. A kitchenette area contains cooking equipment. The type of equipment included differs depending on the motorhome make and model, but generally a kitchenette has a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, and sink.

More luxury models may also provide a microwave. A small bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet is usually also located in the motorhome. On smaller motorhomes, the toilet may be of the "cassette toilet" type, which is a kind of portable toilet or container-based toilet. The toilet sometimes swivels to provide extra room and can be accessed from outside the motorhome for easy emptying.[3] Larger motorhomes usually have a separate shower cubicle.
